Abstract Submission:

**Please do not email your abstract or full-paper to the 21st Century Academic Forum. We ask you to submit your abstract proposals in English through our Online Submission System until the final deadline of February 26, 2016. The Conference Committee reviews abstract proposals on a rolling basis and authors will typically receive a decision within two weeks of his/her submission.

Note: There are two different Online Submission Forms, one for Presenters and the other for Non-Presenters (Listeners). Please use the appropriate Submission Form. Both forms can be found on the navigation menu on the left margin, as well as the Conferences and Submissions page on our website. Non-Presenters who are ready to apply now can click HERE to go directly to the Non-Presenter (Listener) Online Submission Form.

Paper Publication Opportunities:

All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum’s Conference Proceedings guidelines will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: ). Papers must be submitted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings by June 21, 2016. We purposely set the deadline for papers three months following the conference with the rationale that authors should use the feedback they receive at the conference in crafting their final drafts of their paper.

The Conference Proceedings will be published on September 21, 2016.
The editors of our peer-reviewed Journal of 21st Century Issues (ISSN: ) select the best papers from the Conference Proceedings to appear in special thematic issues of the journal.

The 21st Century Academic Forum is fully committed to Open Access information, making your research papers available to a global audience.

Poster Sessions:

Poster presentations convey information quickly and effectively, without the formality of oral presentations. Please note that audio-visual equipment cannot be used. Posters may be displayed for longer than the specified time, but presenters should be with their posters from the am coffee break through lunch on Monday, March 21st in order to answer questions. Poster sessions allow the presenter to enjoy more one-to-one communication with conference participants.

Please click here for: Poster Guidelines

Absentee Presenters:

For those that are unable to join us at Harvard, we offer you the opportunity to present your work via a narrated PowerPoint presentation, which can be uploaded to our website prior to the conference. Your abstract will be printed in the Conference Program Book and your paper will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Conference registration materials (Certificate of Participation, official receipt, Conference Program Book, and tote bag) will be sent by post following the conference.

Conference Fees:
  • Early Bird Registration: Presenter - $400, Listener - $300 (paid on/by January 29, 2016)
  • Late Registration: Presenter - $450 (paid on/by March 4, 2016)
  • Late Registration: Listener - $350 (paid on/by March 11, 2016)

The 21st Century Academic Forum concept...

The 21st Century Academic Forum is committed to supporting research initiatives that aim to tackle important issues facing the people and the planet. While this may sound extremely vague - it is - by design. We believe in the power of diversity and the unexpected learning, sharing, and collaborations that result from bringing together a group of people committed to harnessing the power of research to serve the public good. Join us at one of the top higher education institutions in the world to share in a conversation about how to leverage research to address challenges facing 21st century citizens.

The 21st Century Academic Forum
strongly encourages presenters to follow Albert Einstein's advice about explaining your work simply and clearly. We take pride in our conferences being inter/multi/trans disciplinary, international, and encouraging impactful/applied research. As such, we hope you will think carefully about what your audience knows and doesn't know (or frankly doesn't care about). Our conferences are unlike narrowly defined single discipline conferences, and your fellow participants may not know all the terminology, jargon, acronyms, and researchers in your area. Look at this conference as an opportunity to take a fresh look at your research as you prepare to explain to people who may know little to nothing about your work. Please remember our mantra: keep it simple and clear!

21st Century Academic Forum

The 21st Century Academic Forum is a global group of researchers and educators dedicated to supporting research that has the potential to influence the shaping of educational policy and practices to more effectively prepare students for the unique challenges of the 21st century. An overwhelming body of research indicates that students are leaving formal educational institutions inadequately prepared for the workforce and their lives in the knowledge-based economy. Join us to help turn the tide in education!
