Conference Description:
The aim of the 21st Century Academic Forum is to bring together scholars, as well as corporate and government executives from a wide range of fields who are interested in education and research issues impacting the 21st century. Participants are encouraged to present his/her research (multiple submissions welcome) or just attend to learn from the diverse group of global researchers and experts assembled at one of the top universities in the world.
Abstract Submission:
Abstracts are peer-reviewed by our Conference Committee. Authors are invited to submit their abstracts in English through the conference submission system by January 15, 2014. Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously. Specific guidelines for submissions are provided on the Submission page.
Paper Publication Opportunities:
All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum’s Conference Proceedings requirements will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: ). Papers must be submitted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings by June 15, 2014. Selected papers will also be considered for publication in our online peer-reviewed 21st Century Academic Forum Journal (ISSN: ).
The 21st Century Academic Forum is fully committed to Open Access information, making your research papers available to a global audience. All papers published by the 21st Century Academic Forum are indexed with Google Scholar.

Poster Sessions:
Poster presentations convey information quickly and effectively, without the formality of oral presentations. Please note that audio-visual equipment cannot be used. Posters may be displayed for longer than the specified time, but presenters should be with their posters during the specified 90-minute period on the conference schedule in order to answer questions. Poster sessions allow the presenter to enjoy more one-to-one communication with conference participants.

Keynote Speakers
Dr. Michael Orey / Learning, Design, and Technology / University of Georgia
Dr. Orey has had funded projects related to intelligent tutoring with the U.S. Army Research Institute, project-based learning with at-risk middle school age children, online learning with EpicLearning, and forming partnerships with Universidade Federal do Ceará through a FIPSE-CAPES grant. In 2008, Dr. Orey started a business called MoWerks with two former Ph.D. students. The focus of this business has been the creation of rich interactive learning experiences particularly those that can be delivered online. The content has ranged from learning games for Disney to eLearning content for a variety of tertiary education institutions
Dr. Abraham Abadi / Curriculum and Instruction / Lesley University
Dr. Abadi became a faculty member at Lesley University after 30 years of experience in the Boston Public Schools as teacher, administrator, and curriculum specialist. During his years in public education, Dr. Abadi held adjunct positions at Berklee College of Music, The Art Institute of Boston (now at Lesley University) and in the Elementary Education Division at the Graduate School of Education. He combines scholarship and experience to give his courses depth. His current research interests focus on the changing demographic of our student population with the notion of a social justice and a culturally relevant curriculum.

Conference Topic Tracks
Consistent with the 3 Missions of the 21st Century Academic Forum we are calling for the submission of papers related to but not limited to the topic tracks listed below. These three topic tracks are deliberately broad to encourage researchers to provide a wide variety of paper presentations under the umbrella theme of socially responsible research for the 21st century. Papers will go through a rigorous review process by our conference committee. Authors will be notified on or before December 1, 2013 if their proposal has been accepted or rejected. Please email with questions you may have about the abstract submission process. We look forward to your submissions and hope to see you in Boston in March!
Teaching & Learning for the 21st Century
The primary aim of this topic track is to encourage and support researchers to investigate the challenges educators face in preparing citizens for the changing landscape of the 21st century.

Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
The primary aim of this topic track is to encourage and support research on how to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship in education to provide a better way of life for 21st century citizens.
